Kim Gaskill

For more than three decades, Kim Gaskill has been a trusted advisor to nonprofits, schools, foundations, and mission-driven leaders.

As the founder and principal of Gaskill Strategies, she has led transformational campaigns, crafted strategic plans, and helped organizations raise over $500 million in support of causes that shape communities and change lives.

Kim is known for her “collaborative approach, seamlessly integrating into client teams to foster a spirit of unity and shared purpose. She navigates complex challenges with a clear, strategic mindset, and her enthusiasm and optimism inspire confidence, align stakeholders, and motivate teams to new heights.” Her work spans a wide range of sectors, including health care, human services, education, arts and culture, and advocacy.

Her long-standing commitment to this work has earned her deep trust and national recognition—including being named Fundraising Executive of the Year in 2024.

Early and longtime clients include BRIDGES USA and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. Since founding Gaskill Strategies, Kim has worked with more than 60 nonprofits and community-based organizations to bring clarity, strategy, and momentum to their missions. She is a skilled organizational strategist and creative thinker with expertise in planning, facilitation, communication, implementation, and evaluation.

Although she has spent the majority of her career leading Gaskill Strategies, Kim’s early roles laid a powerful foundation. At Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association (MIFA), she led a successful $25 million capital campaign, coordinated the Starry Nights exhibit (a Top 20 Southeastern Tourism event), and published Memphis Parent. As vice president of marketing for the Memphis Redbirds (the St. Louis Cardinals’ AAA affiliate), she shaped the branding of the team, led the launch of AutoZone Park, and helped establish the Redbirds Foundation—adding sports marketing to her extensive toolkit.

Kim is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, a graduate of New Memphis Institute’s LDI program and Leadership Memphis, a founding member of GiVE 365 for the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis, a former board member for the Christian Community Foundation, and a member of Mei-Ann’s Circle of Friends for the Memphis Symphony Orchestra.

Her accolades include Memphis Business Journal’s Super Women in Business, Top 40 Under 40 (“a few years ago,” she says with a smile), and Memphis Women of Achievement.

All of these experiences are part of Kim’s journey to where she is now—the soul of Gaskill Strategies and the driving force behind the firm’s mission: to help good organizations do great things.
