John Gaskill
John
is a skilled writer and editor with nine years experience in journalism
and communications and a passion for reporting, researching and
storytelling. He’s comfortable working in a
variety of styles including
print, web and e-mail formats and has the initiative to find, and the
eye to recognize, good stories. After
more than a decade as a professional musician and music teacher, John
turned his attention to journalism, freelancing for publications across
the Mid-South and later working as a reporter, photographer and editor
for the DeSoto County edition of The Commercial Appeal.
As director of
communications for Church of the Holy Communion, John was responsible
for all facets of internal and external communications for the largest
Episcopal church in the West
Tennessee diocese. During his four years there, the parish’s
communications developed a unique voice and garnered several national
awards.
